Privacy@lemmy.ml•Privacy centric devices stateside for low cost?
8·10 days agoThe answer is to get a used Pixel. With a bit of looking around you may be able to find some pretty good deals. The Pixel 8a is the sweetspot is my opinion. OEM minimum support until May 2031 and old enough to find at a very good price. But not that old for its battery to very likely be busted.
Same here, Debian since Squeeze. A couple of years ago I just decided to go a step further and go with Kicksecure. Which is basically just hardened Debian.

Privacy@lemmy.ml•How can I save my money in crypto privately and safe?
6·1 month agoIf you want privacy you should be using Monero. If you use Monero you can use the official wallet together with Trezor. In fact, if I am not mistaken you have to, because from what I recall the Trezor Suite has no support for Monero.

Linux@lemmy.ml•I found the easiest way to transfer files to and from my Linux PC - and it's so fast [ZDNET]
0·6 months agoI’d argue LocalSend is a lot simpler. Install the app on both devices, open it, transfer files. Zero configuration needed in the majority of cases.
“I don’t need to, I have it stored all in my head.”
Famous last words.
