  • Funny, did we see the same video?

I saw a guy who recently switched to Linux do an “April Fools” as an excuse to complain about Windows more, and explain why he’s sticking with Linux.

“Even with the help of AI”

    I see you’re just shitposting.

Muta is a basic dudebro. Is he good at technology? No. Is he a good baseline for “can most people do it?” Almost, yeah. And that’s what his video is actually about if you bothered to watch it.

Unless you have some Niche webcam or hardware MIDI controller, just about everything is supported out of the box. Unless you wanna dive into Gentoo to start? Its surprisingly simple here.

For deep customizations? There’s manuals. There’s guides where you can do the advanced Gentoo-stuff in the terminal by just copying-and-pasting without a clue what you’re doing or why.

The community is something to be proud of - what we’ve built, what we’ve made.

We’re still working on audio composition type stuff for DJs, but we’ve come a long way. The free stuff you want works better here, and even Photoshop runs great in WINE.

  • In this thread: anti-“woke” commenter decries the fall, another commenter posts about how they’re normalizing hate, and you’re over here documenting it as a crypto scam.

Its almost like any time someone hates “the gays” or “the transes” or anyone, they’re out to steal from you for agreeing with them.

If this ended with more broke hatemongers, I’d say “look, nature is healing!” The problem is that means there’s someone who got rich off of a financial incentive to spread hate, and they won’t stop spamming that out into the world so easily. And gullible rubes will just pick that up and think its normal.

Good riddance to shitware, shit trackers, and their shitty hate.

  • When they can argue its for “transformative use” or whatever the magic words are? Thats technically fair use in US law.

Critique, parody, and even collage-as-art are all explicit carveouts for fair use. Remixing and remuxing artists, being broke, cannot afford the lawyers to effectively apply this, so they pay off the “owners” of that existing IP.

The AI bros might have a serious point within the law, and that should scare actual artists. It should also scare studios like Disney that hold a fuck ton of “intellectual property”.

Using it to train an AI? Takes meeting that “transformational” requirement for fair use to newly undisputed heights, so long as safeguards are in place to remove the possibility to use it as a vector for direct replication.
