People moved on long before he moved to Japan, or at least most people, there are still some that hate him for a mistake he made many years ago.

People can change and grow up and deserve second changes, I grew up racist just because of my environment, but as I got older I grew out of that and saw that it’s wrong and hurts and divides people.

I’ve got Docmost running now, and fairly happy with it.

It can be improved in some ways, but I might just make those fixes myself in a PR on their project

This is quite useful, and if someone doesn’t like it they can just block the bot.

That seems nice, but I’d like if it can handle Markdown well.

Saving my files as Markdown means they’re future proof and I can move it to easily in the future

That looks really great, It doesn’t seem like I can host it at my domain though.

Looking for something I can just run in my cloud and eventually share with family members etc. so we have a joint space for notes and things

But if my backups actually work then I miss out on the joy of rebuilding everything from scratch and explaining to my wife why non of the lights in the house work anymore.

GitLab is awesome and has good CI-CD

Afaik they are hosting their code on their own closed source internal system.

So it will no longer be Open-Source
