They collect personal data before you even have the chance to opt out which is a clear violation of the GDPR. They promise to delete it within 30 days when you opt out, but is was collected nonetheless.
Data protection isn’t binary, and you should treat companies, products, etc. as they’re and not mix subjective with objective.
But you’re right, overall is Discord pretty terrible in this regard.

Not all browser extensions are fingerprintable, only those that do by the website measureable differences to your browsing, which Snowflake, as far as I’m aware does not.
We might want to encourage people to stop using the term “sideloading” and instead say “installing” because that’s what it is; using a different term for it makes it seem unordinary and unintended.
