I mean, it can be nice to see there’s a place where stupid people have stupid problems, to give my problems some perspective, but it’s impossible now to open the web without non-stop American stupidity confrontation. It’s nice to go to a theme park, it’s hell to live there. I wish there was an American-free platform. Even Lemmy, which is mostly hosted in Europe, is completely taken over by Murica slop. No wonder those Americans are so self centered, when the entire world has to live in their drama.
That’s true, there need to be people fighting back. But there is a difference in fighting back and being prosecuted for who you are. Being able to fight is a luxury. Know there are programs to help expats in European countries. To find a job, housing, hobbies, meet people, get life started, even tax cuts to make it more attractive. Your gender isn’t illegal to put on a Dutch passport, for example.

I can’t. I’m too poor, my gender is illegal to put on an American passport, and Canada/Mexico aren’t interested in taking asylees or refugees.
Besides, if everyone leaves, no one will be here to fight back.
