I think we would probably have to re-imagine our relationship with garbage to some extent. Take more personal responsibility for the garbage we create. Being a garbage collector would probably be a much more respected position too since they’re doing something that directly benefits the community.

Garbage collection doesn’t have to be a life sentence either. Maybe it’s just something you work for a couple months at a time. If people don’t care about the community littering would still be a problem. But is anarchism even possible if people don’t care about their community?

In the process of moving over to NixOS right now. It’s been fun, but I definitely sometimes hit a wall where I don’t know what to do and it takes me a while figure things out. But I also love having a file that defines my system instead of having to remember how I set everything up. I was using fedora before which is great too, and I’ve used most of the other ones in the past as well.

I’m making the switch because I want using my computer to feel more like a hobby

Yeah, my home server was being a little too stable and I wasn’t really learning anything. So I switched from fedora to proxmox, now I’ve got a nixos vm I’m going to try to get all my services running in.
